Open Flare Systems

Open flare systems are combustion devices in which the main flame is located atop a flare stack, open to the atmosphere, and visible to the surrounding areas. Open flares are typically able to accommodate larger waste gas flows than enclosed combustion devices but cannot achieve destruction removal efficiencies (DRE) as high as enclosed systems.
